I hope you are having a great week. There have been some interesting developments in EV charging station news that I wanted to update you on.

New York City announced it will build its largest publicly accessible EV charging station next to JFK Airport.  It will initially feature 65 EV chargers, including 12 DC fast charging stations, and will be available 24/7.

In Pennsylvania, Middletown unveiled the first municipality-installed Fast EV charging stations In the state. The four chargers, which are installed behind the township building, were paid for by a $215,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s Alternative Fuel Incentive Grant program and a $60,000 PECO EVsmart rebate.

In a boost for EVs, EPA finalizes strict new limits on tailpipe emissions  The EPA expects that under the new rules, EVs could account for up to 56% of new passenger vehicles sold for model years 2030 through 2032, meeting a goal that President Biden set in 2021.  The regulations are a cornerstone of the Biden Administration’s efforts to fight climate change.
